Investment are good, but it’s not as powerful as networks.”
One of my mentees said this in one of our meetings. And I found myself thinking hard about it. So, you too, think about it. JAY Z said, “…relationships is way more important than money, because if you got relationships, you can always get money. You can progress.”
Also, here’s some advice a mentor of mine gave me. Randomly found these in my Notes. And I’m sharing with you because I’m a nice guy 😬.
Always focus on the money
If you want something in 5 years, the work should’ve started 5 years ago
Decisions have long-standing consequences
Kindness, authenticity, certain amount of work ethic are significant requirements that are not a metric, but a center stone of how you build a career
You build this through relationships
Figure out what you need to be doing to compete
